It was Summer Camp time for me this English summer. 1 week of training in the seaside resort town of Blackpool, 6 weeks of kids, night duties, bus trips and behaviour management shenanigans. It wasn't all hard work though, there was lots of action and adventure activities to get up to - archery, rock climbing, abe-sailing, high ropes courses and my favourite, canoing.
Look out for my next post where I discuss in-depth the highs and lows, ups and downs of my English summer experiences - in particular the 7 weeks of my Summer Camp.

The Summer Camp team at Blackpool. Well some of us - there were 11 of us in total.

Ah! Team building activities - gotta love em...

My 2nd time golfing ever. I think I'm getting better.... hmmmm

The kids get underway with some bridge building.

The grounds of the campsite were attached to this Victorian era manor house - Beaumanor Hall. So yes, another manor house I have been to or worked at. We had Dinner here most nights...

Yes, there were nights where we all played silly games. But what can you expect? After a week with kids aged 10 to 17 you need a break.

Fear of Heights? An action/adventure camp usually manages to cure you.

I also met a special someone during my summer...
As I said, more in my next post...

Did you hear the sad news that Robert Jordan has died?
I hadn't heard, but I can imagine that you will be devastated - not least because he now cannot finish his series off.
