Mr. Roberts I presume

From the murky backwaters of 'convict' Australia, this former colonial has evolved considerably. The last month or so has seen me come back to full-time work at Sherfield school. Happily there are no more issues with having to teach a majority Primary school load as mentioned in earlier posts (here). I am now the secondary teacher at the school I was meant to be - a nice relief I can tell you. It also means that I don't have to rely on supplementing part-time work with supply teaching. I am back to regular full-time wages, which considering the cost of living here in the UK, tend to be a mite useful.

Introducing Mr Roberts, currently the Geography and Religious Studies teacher for Years 6-11 at Sherfield School. Suits are rather important in English schooling, even for many state schools, but doubly so for a privately funded, business orientated school like Sherfield.

While an Independent secular school, British tradition demands regular hymn singing throughout the week.

The Sherfield spirit on show.

Heavy snowfalls a few weeks ago meant the day off at school. I was dubbed, "the Australian playing in the snow" for my desire to be outside in it.

The music teacher pretends to do some work for me.

And you were doubting that the snow was thick... Trust me this is actually quite unusual for England. Because of this snow tends to bring the nation to a stop.

My next couple of posts will finally seek to finish of my October trip from last year. I would also show off my various trips to areas of London and Cambridge.

You’re a gimp. Stick to playing the didgeridoo. By the way: your beard stinks of jizz. Allow me to introduce you to the art of growing hair.
